Don Haefner is the owner and chief inspector at Heartland Building Inspections. Heartland Building Inspections was the first professional, fee-paid, whole-house and building inspection company in southeast Missouri and St. Francois County.

Don is a lifelong resident of the area and has an extensive 45 years of experience in construction with a background in designing and building homes, general contracting for residential and commercial building construction (including apartments), and maintenance. There is no substitute for actual design and construction experience as a builder. As the person solely responsible for the building, Don knows how all of the materials will act and interact to make the building as trouble-free as possible.
